About Gimme

Gimme is a family wishlist app made in the UK by Leo, an independent developer.

It started with a familiar problem. Every year the same conversation happened in our family: “What do you want for Christmas?” “Oh, anything.” Then two people would buy the same thing, someone would get socks again, and the lists people did write lived in WhatsApp chats, notes apps and half-remembered conversations.

So we built the thing we wanted: one place for everyone’s lists, where the family can quietly mark what they’re getting, and the person whose list it is never finds out early.

What we care about

• Simple enough for everyone. If Nan can’t use it, it isn’t finished.
• Calm. No adverts, no nagging, no endless notifications.
• Private. Groups are invite-only. We don’t sell data, and we deliberately can’t see what’s been bought for whom.
• Honest about money. Gimme is free. Some shop links may earn a small commission. That’s it. How we make money.
